The Solitude Fly Reel features:
- 4 sizes for Line Weights 4-11.
- Frames and spools fully machined from 6061-T65 Aircraft-grade billet aluminum.
- All components are manufactured from either corrosion resistant anodized aluminum, stainless steel or high-grade thermoplastics.
- Pewter and gold reels are anodized Type II. Black colored reels are anodized Type III hard anodize.
- Smooth and consistent cork/Teflon disk drag in the SR2 and SR3 sizes.
- Large over sized cork composite/Type III anodized aluminum drag discs in the SR4 and SR5 sizes.
Polished reel pre anodize.
- Infinitely variable crest-to-crest wave springs which produce up to 6 lbs of drag in the SR2 and SR3 and 17lbs of drag in the SR4 and SR5.
- Quick release, interchangeable spools.
- Large Arbor Spools for aid in quick retrieval offered for the SR4 and SR5 reels.
- Frame and spool are polished to a number 8 finish (mirror finish) before anodize.
- Smooth, free spinning handle manufactured on site from stabilized wood dowels, polished and finished for low moisture absorption, lasting performance and dimensional stability.
- All processes done in-house except: anodizing, and laser marking.
- All components manufactured on site except: screws, washers, C-clips, O-rings, disk drag pads, drag knob end cap and wave spring.
- Retrieve can be reversed by the angler themselves.
- Type III anodized aluminum clutch housing encapsulating a stainless steel one-directional Clutch Bearing.
- Each reel is thoroughly hand inspected after assembly and before shipping to ensure our stringent quality standards are maintained.
